John 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
John 4:10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would  have given thee living water
Jer. 2:13 For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.
Let's stop and have a drink from the living water of God!

I want to be under the spout where the water comes out!

Ps 46:4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.
Re 22:1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
Let's have another drink, from the Living Water of God.

"But I am not worthy to drink of this Pure Water of God," you might be saying. Or "I don't know how to drink."
The bible does tell us that sin separates us from God. So, initially we all have to come to realization that we are born with a sin nature and that we need a savior. In the old testament of the bible we read that animals were sacrificed to atone for our sins. But all along God had a plan. And that plan included sending his son to sacrifice his life for our sins so we could be restored back to God as our Father. Christ died for our sins. There is much more to the salvation story and if you do not know it let me know and I will answer questions or send you links that can help you to understand. It does not have to be a  difficult thing. In John 4, of the New Testament we see the story of the woman at the well.' Jesus began to question her about her life. He asked her about her husband. She told the truth and said the man she now lived with was not her husband. It is important to be honest  with God and with yourself.
She was a Samaritan woman. The message of the messiah was not suppose to be for her according to the religious belief of that day. She was living in sin and was not even suppose to be in HIS presence let alone  talking to him. But, read the scripture to see how He changed her life and many more in the city because she believed.
    Be Honest about your  sin. (So He can forgive you.)
    Listen to Him (drink from His well of salvation)
    Tell others (get you some drinking buddies!)
    LOOK HOW Revival broke out in Samaria!
4:4 And He had to pass through Samaria.
4:5 So He came to a city of Samaria, called Sychar, near the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph;
4:6 and Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied from His journey, was sitting thus by the well. It was about the  sixth hour.
4:7 There came a woman of Samaria to draw water. Jesus said to her, "Give Me a drink."
4:8 For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.
4:9 The Samaritan woman therefore said to Him, "How is it that You, being a Jew, ask me for a drink since I am a Samaritan woman?" (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.)
4:10 Jesus answered and said to her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you,  'Give Me a drink,' you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water."
4:11 She said to Him, "Sir, You have nothing to draw with and the well is deep; where then do You get that living water?
4:12 "You are not greater than our father Jacob, are You, who gave us the well, and drank of it  himself, and his sons, and his cattle?"
4:13 Jesus answered and said to her, "Everyone who drinks of this water shall thirst again;
4:14 but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life."
4:15 The woman said to Him, "Sir, give me this water, so I will not be thirsty, nor come all the way here to draw."
4:16 He said to her, "Go, call your husband, and come here."
4:17 The woman answered and said, "I have no husband." Jesus said to her, "You have well said, 'I  have no husband';
4:!8 for you have had five husbands, and the one whom you now have is not your husband; this you  have said truly."
4:19 The woman said to Him, "Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet.
4:20  "Our fathers worshiped in this mountain, and you people say that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship."
4:21 Jesus said to her, "Woman, believe Me, an hour is coming when neither in this mountain, nor  in Jerusalem, shall you worship the Father.
4:22 "You worship that which you do not know; we worship that which we know, for salvation is from the Jews.
4:23 "But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers.
4:24 "God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."
4:25 The woman said to Him, "I know that Messiah is coming (He who is called Christ); when that One comes, He will declare all things to us."
4:26 Jesus said to her, "I who speak to you am He."
4:27

And at this point His disciples came, and they marveled that He had been speaking with a  woman; yet no one said, "What do You seek?" or, "Why do You speak with her?"
4:28 So the woman left her water pot, and went into the city, and said to the men,
4:29

  "Come, see a man who told me all the things that I have done; this is not the  Christ, is it?"
4:30 They went out of the city, and were coming to Him.
4:31 In the meanwhile the disciples were requesting Him, saying, "Rabbi, eat."
4:32 But He said to them, "I have food to eat that you do not know about."
4:33

The disciples therefore were saying to one another, "No one brought Him anything to eat, did he?"
4:34

Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to accomplish His work.
4:35

"Do you not say, 'There are yet four months, and then comes the harvest'? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes, and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest.
4:36 "Already he who reaps is receiving wages, and is gathering fruit for life eternal; that he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.
4:37 "For in this case the saying is true, 'One sows, and another reaps.'
4:38 "I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labor."
4:39 And from that city many of the Samaritans believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified, "He told me all the things that I have done."
4:40 So when the Samaritans came to Him, they were asking Him to stay with them; and He stayed there two days.
4:41  And many more believed because of His word;
4:42 and they were saying to the woman, "It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves and know that this One is indeed the Savior of the world."
4:43   And after the two days He went forth from there into Galilee.

So, Let's Take Another Drink! I'll Drink To That!

Maybe your saying, I'm a Christian already. I've already drank from the well of salvation. But, is there more? I need more. Yes! There is always more We need to drink continually. To be 'Filled with the Spirit' as it speaks of in Ephesians 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit. God made provision for us. He knew there would be rough times. He knew we would need 'more' at times. To ease the pain, to break the monotony. Why do you think he compared being filled with the spirit to not being drunk with wine? Why do you think that on the day of Pentecost those who saw and heard the believers thought them to be drunk even though it was morning time? It was because that was His provision for us. The Holy Spirit manifest in us is the provision. That's our 'strong drink.' Jesus is our provision. We on the whole as Christians have lived a dry, sober, existence. Let's repent. Let's obey the Word.Be filled.
TAKE A DRINK FROM THE LIVING WATER OF GOD! TODAY, TOMORROW, EVERYDAY...

Okay, I believe all this but I have too many problems weighing me down to be able to rejoice and drink. One more verse to help you out here. James 1:2 " My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations" ...or you could say various trials. We know the Joy of the Lord is our strength. How do we get it? How do we 'count' it joy? Well, here is where your faith comes in. Just like you count in the natural; 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6,7, 8. Okay, ready? Instead of saying the  numbers, you look at the number 1 problem and say 'JOY'. You are counting it or considering that it is now joy. Why? Because  that  puts  it  out of  your hands, into God's hands. Why is it now joy? Because He is Lord. He will rule and reign in this situation and in you! Okay, ready to go on? Keep counting. Look at each 'problem, burden, trial, and say Joy, Joy, Joy, Joy. Each  time as if you are counting like in the  natural.  But  this  is in the Spiritual realm. Each time you count by 'faith, not by feeling' you are releasing those things to God. Soon He will  come on the scene and give you a DRINK.
A DRINK OF JOY!
Another way to count is in- stead of saying joy each time say ha ha ha ha ha ha ho ho ho ho ho hee heh hee hee!
Our God Reigns!
Psalms 2:4  He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision
There are many ways to 'drink' of God's Spirit. This is one of the ways I have found. Another way is to worhip and praise Him. Just you and Him alone. He dwells in the praises of His people.
